First 24 hours
- Do not wash your hair or apply any product to the scalp unless told otherwise.
- Avoid touching or scratching the treated area.
- Skip the gym, sauna, swimming and anything that causes heavy sweating.
- Stay out of direct sun; wear a loose, clean hat if you must be outdoors.
- Avoid alcohol and smoking, which can slow healing.
Days 2 to 7
- Wash gently with a mild shampoo and lukewarm water once the clinic says it is fine.
- Avoid hair dye, chemical treatments, strong styling products and heat tools for about a week.
- Resume minoxidil or other prescribed topicals when advised.
- Sleep on a clean pillowcase.
Ongoing
- Attend every scheduled session and review; results are assessed over months, not days.
- Continue any prescribed medication. Exosome therapy is usually part of a plan, not a replacement.
- Eat a balanced diet with adequate protein and iron; ask about supplements if tests showed a deficiency.
- Manage stress and sleep; both affect hair cycling.
Warning signs
Contact the clinic if you notice increasing pain, spreading redness, discharge, fever or a rash. Seek emergency care for facial swelling or difficulty breathing.
