Timeline
| Period | What is typical |
|---|---|
| Days 1–3 | Redness and tenderness settle. Nothing visible in terms of growth. |
| Weeks 2–6 | Some people notice temporary extra shedding as follicles reset. Others notice nothing. Second session often falls in this window. |
| Months 1–3 | Reduced daily shedding is the most commonly reported early change. Existing hairs may feel slightly stronger. |
| Months 3–6 | First meaningful review with photographs. Where the treatment is working, improved thickness of existing hair and some new fine growth may be visible. |
| Months 6–12 | Fullest assessment of the initial course. Maintenance discussion if there has been benefit; alternative plan if not. |
Factors that influence results
- Stage of hair loss. Earlier tends to respond better than advanced loss.
- Cause. Pattern hair loss responds differently from telogen effluvium or autoimmune loss.
- Combination treatment. Medication and consistent care often improve the overall outcome.
- Consistency. Completing the recommended course and follow-ups matters.
- General health. Nutrition, sleep, stress and smoking all affect hair.
What we will not show you
We do not publish before-and-after photographs on this website. Such images are easy to misrepresent through lighting, angles and selective choice, and we would rather you form expectations from a doctor's assessment of your own scalp. The clinic can show its own documented cases at your consultation.
Continue: aftercare for the best chance of a good outcome.
